How can I get a monthly archive listing ONLY the titles of my posts, NOTHING mor

My monthly archives shows the titles of my posts and then, immediately below each of these titles, several score words from the beginnings of the texts of the respective posts, WITH THESE WORDS ALL RUN TOGETHER WITHOUT ANY SPACING WHATEVER. I need to know exactly how to make my monthly archives simply list the titles of my posts and (if possible) the tags, and nothing more.
