How can I get a white image border?
-
When I upload photos to a post, I would like to put a white border around the photo to delineate it more clearly from the text. If I set the border size to say 10, I get a thick grey border. If I set it to O, the text looks too close to the photo. How do I get a thick white border? I am using Ocean Mist.

You could simply set Horizontal Space to 10, rather than Border. Since the background is white, you’d get a white space. Otherwise, you could do it in a graphics program before uploading the image.

Thanks Raincoaster. I tried setting horizontal space to 10, but that doesn’t seem to make any difference at all. I could do it in a gfx program I guess, but I was wondering if there was a more direct method.

Have you got custom CSS or something? I use that workaround all the time on my blogs and it seems to work just fine. Can we have a link to your blog to check it out?

I purchased Custom CSS last week to try and implement something else that I haven’t got around to yet, but I couldn’t see a way of changing the image attributes.
My blog is at http://moraymc.wordpress.com

How do you set the horizontal space in the visual code, what does it look like in the post editor?
-
Oh, nevermind. I didn’t see that “horizontal/vertical space” option in the image editor. I just added 10 to each and it worked.
