If you want an image from your post to be featured on your blog home page, you can set a featured image for that post.
On the page where you create your new post, there is a space all the way down on the right hand side of your screen that has the title “Featured Image”. Here you can upload a picture from your media library. The feature image will appear with your post summary on the blog home page.
