How can I get back on wordpress reader?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I transferred my blog last weekend to blue host, installed WordPress and it seems that everything transferred except the “likes.” My original wordpress dashboard is still active and I can see that the likes are still there, how can I get them onto their posts in the new dashboard?

Also, where are my followers now? There’s no way to see them on my new dashboard, and I’m no longer showing up on wordpress reader, nor do my tags work on wordpress reader, they only link within my site.

This is very bad for my engagement with my followers, how can I get back on wordpress reader?? Or do I need to leave blue host?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Danika,

The Export process will transfer over your blog’s posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags, but not Likes. Likes are built into the WordPress.com structure.

If you install Jetpack (see below), you can implement Likes, but I’m not sure if they can be transferred over.

Also, where are my followers now? There’s no way to see them on my new dashboard, and I’m no longer showing up on wordpress reader, nor do my tags work on wordpress reader, they only link within my site.

You can transfer over all the subscribers you had on WordPress.com to your new self-hosted site by using the Jetpack plugin.

    We have a guide here:

Self-hosted sites, even with Jetpack, will not appear in tag feeds in the WordPress.com Reader. Once you’ve transferred your followers though, they can still read your blog in the Reader as they could before. New followers will also have that option.

    Best,
