How can I get help stopping spammers from attacking via the Follow button?

    I’m getting flooded with spammers who are following my blog. Although they don’t show up in comments or trackbacks, they do get a gravatar (and a link) in the Community widget. How do I stop this, without turning off the Follow widget? I have already turned off the display of gravatars for Follows on my widget, althought I’d prefer not to.
