How can I get Jetpack's Site Stats to work?

I’m having the same problem with the Jetpack stats that the user had in this post https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/stats-error-1?replies=7. Basically I can’t get any stats on my site. I have a self-hosted site. I have not used the old WordPress.com stats plug-in. I had the same date issue but resolved it following the suggestion in the forum. As far as I can tell I have everything configured correctly.

What do I need to do to fix this?

It sounds like the timezone change resolved the other users problem. Specifically, what kind of trouble are you running into?

The timezone change fixed the date for the “busiest day” but then the next time I logged in the busiest date was showing as January 1, 1970 again. I haven’t been able to get any stats at all since activating Jetpack. Site Stats only says “No stats are available for this time period.” As far as I can tell, I’ve got everything set up correctly on wordpress.com.

I will try the timezone change again.

Still no data being collected. Should I try deactivating and then reactivating?

Yes, please try deactivating and deleting the plugin, then reinstall and reactivate.
