  I’m writing a travel blog mainly read by family and friends and just wanted to know if there was any way I could get more people to read my blog?

  Go to the support pages here and search for “traffic.” There is a good basic article there on increasing readership.

  After that, head over to http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/ where timethief has tons of great information on increasing readership and making the best blog you can.

  In order to increase blog traffic, I recommend advertising your blog through various blog directories. Many of them are free and easy to submit to. Personally, I have had great success with Blog Catalog and Blogged.
