How can I get more people to view my blog?

  I recently started a film blog with reviews and general opinions from the perspective of a film student. So far i’m finding my experience of blogging to be pretty unrewarding as no-one is reading my blogs. I don’t really know how to promote my blog, get more views and discussions around my writing. Please can someone give me advice on how a new blogger goes about developing the popularity of their blog.
