how can i get my avatar back?

  my avatar disappeared and i want it back

  Could you please be more specific? There are two “avatar” images on wordpress. One is your gravatar profile image which is associated with your username. You can change that at Users ->Personal Settings on your dashboard. I can see yours just fine next to your username in this thread. http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/

  The other is your blavatar, or blog-avatar, which appears next to your blog title in the grey toolbar. You don’t seem to have one. You can upload one under Settings ->General in your dashboard. It can take a few hours after uploading a new blavatar for it to appear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/
