how can i get my domain back after refunding it ?

    I refund my registration the last Friday , and now I want it back so i can host it in another server , how can i do that ?
    Or after how many days will this domain appear for me again so that I can reserve it ?

    Hi there,

    You appear to have canceled your domain name, which has resulted in a refund and also means that you no longer own it. However, you do have a few options for getting it back, let us know which you would like to move forward with!

    1. Wait for grace period to end – Your domain is in a 5 day grace period (from the time you cancelled) but at the end of that it goes on sale again. As long as no one buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider. According to our records it will be available on or about Feb 1st
    2. Let us recover the domain – Because you have already been refunded, we can send an invoice for registration fees and restore the domain. You’ll be able to connect it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
    3. Stay on WordPress.com – The cost of your domain is included in your plan purchase. To restore your domain just purchase a new plan, and then let us know so we can reattach the domain to your WordPress.com site.

    So far so good , then , I will wait until Fep 1st and check again if it appears to me , and if not I will contact with you again .

    Just one more question, after my domain be hosted , do I still need to purchase a new plan ?

    Hi there,

    Sounds good! Note that there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to get the domain back when it is removed from the registry. The best course of action to ensure you keep the domain’s ownership is to restore it with us.

    You do need a paid plan to set the domain as the primary address of your WordPress.com site. So if you would like to host your site with us using this domain, my suggestion would be to upgrade your site to a yearly paid plan again, and we can still restore the domain for you (because the yearly paid plan includes a domain for the first year).

    I see that you previously chose the Personal plan. You can choose the same plan here: https://wordpress.com/plans – or you can let us know more about this site — what’s the site for, and is there any specific feature (such as selling products or services) you need on this site?
