How can i get my domain name

My email was sending all of wordpress emails to my spam and I completely missed over my renewal emails. I took some time off of social media and I am devasted it is no longer available to me at $18 like i normally pay. Can you help me with this issue? :(

Ah I’m sorry, losing a domain can be really hard.
Right now the registry still has it, but we can’t get it back from them without paying them the $80 fee, in addition to the renewal fee.
I am sending an invoice. You can either pay it now or wait for the registrar to delete it (if you decide to wait, let us know so we can remove the invoice). Just know they put it up for auction before that, and if someone else buys it you won’t be able to get it back at all. So you’ll want to act quickly if you don’t want to risk losing it.

Ok so yes it is in redemption phase right now but the other question I have is when I go into my account it says my domain expired 3 months ago but if I want to save it and renew it I can. I clock on the link in my acocunt and it sends me to the area where I pick the personal plan again for $48 a year. Does that include my domain name I had picked out? Since I did click on my “renew your domain name” link in my account? <modlook>

Where exactly do you see it saying you can renew? You currently have no upgrades active on your account – there is nothing showing in your Purchases page at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases, nor is any domain listed at https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/wearethetuckers.wordpress.com. Those are the only two places from where you can renew a domain upgrade.
If you’re clicking on a link in a renewal reminder email that you received before the domain expired, that will no longer work, as the domain has since been removed from your account.
Buying a Personal Plan will not get your domain back. The plan includes a free domain which can be used to cover the renewal cost of your domain, but that does not cover the redemption fee we have to pay our domain provider to get the domain back. That can only be paid via the link @supernovia sent you.
Once we receive your payment, we can email our domain provider to restore the domain, and only after they do that will the domain be available in your account again.
Your other option is to wait for the domain to be deleted and released at the registry, and then you can register it as a new domain. However, it will be several more weeks before this happens, and there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to buy the domain again once it’s released – it could be registered by someone else before you’r able to, for example, in which case you’ll lose it completely.
