how can i get my drop down menus to appear on my site?

  I have tried everything to get a drop down menu under the header of my site. I have tried to upload munus, pages etc. please help!!

  To do this, you’ll need to override what is there by setting up your own menu via Appearance -> Menus in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Thanks for response. I’ve gone onto the customs menu page, I’ve managed to create five menu’s but when i hit save menu nothing happens to my webpage. I’ve been trying different things for ages now and nothing happens. I’m wondering is there something really obvious that i’m missing, i’m far from an expert on webpages.
