How can I get my header image the correct size for the "Stay" theme.
-
Hello! I’ve been struggling with WordPress for several months now and hope someone can help me. The two main issues that I’m having are
1st – No matter what size of an image I upload, I can’t seem to get it span the entire length of the page’s header image. It always appears on the left of the screen. I’ve tried half of the day and feel like I must give up soon.2nd. I want my site to look like a standard business website, not a blog website (i.e. Main header photo, with several catagory “tabs” for About Us, Pricing, Commercials, Music Videos, etc) and can’t get this to happen no matter what I do.
Do I have to pay for a template to get these things? I don’t want to give up on WordPress, but have spent many weeks and cannot seem to get a “standard’ look for a website. Can someone please help? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Stay theme does not display the header across the entire page. If you’re trying to set up a large image across the front page the way the demo displays, please follow the directions here for setting up your Home Plate Template:

You can definitely do this! First, following the directions above will create a static front page, which will mean that people who visit your site won’t see your blog as soon as they land.
The rest of the pages you want (About Us, Pricing, Commercials, Music Videos) should be created as new Pages:
And then you should make sure to add them to your menus the way you want:
Stay has a single, primary custom menu area below the header, and an optional secondary menu that appears beside the header widget area. Note that the secondary menu only supports one level (no submenus).
Let me know if I can help further!
