How can I get my image widget to appear in the side bar?
-
I have my static home page set up with a Showcase side bar. I have dragged an image widget into the Showcase side bar and added an image. Instead of appearing in the side bar, the image appears in the footer. I have looked at the “post” for the home page to see if there is extra html that may be causing the problem, but I do not know what is “extra” html and what belongs. I paste my text content from a Microsoft word document, so perhaps that is the problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The Showcase Template in this theme is designed to allow you to showcase featured posts across the entire width of your site. You can put introductory text, also across the full width, above the featured posts. Recent posts go below the featured posts area, with the Showcase Sidebar widgets beside them. You don’t have recent posts, so they can’t show next to the Sidebar widget, which is why it appears on your site like you’ve placed the widget in the footer.
You can see this in action in the demo version of the theme at:

Right now you don’t have any featured posts set so you just have the introductory text.
Best!
