I am uploading jpegs of medical doodles that I do. they look extremely small, and the user has to click on them and them zoom in a great deal in order to see the image clearly. how can I get the image to show up larger/more clearly?

Hello!
Could you share a website address that shows an example of the problem?
When I reply to a support post that does not include a website address, I always like to add that this forum supports sites hosted with WordPress.com.

Hello, yes! This is my general site:
Here is an example of a post I did, and the images are very small when you actually scroll through them. One has the option to click on the image to see in full size, i just was wondering if there was any way to make it bigger prior to clicking on it: https://wordpress.com/block-editor/post/katiebecomesapa.wordpress.com/66
Also, I have a question if you don’t mind sharing your advice. My goal is to have a blog in which I can categorize, and subcategorize topics. I draw medical doodles, so would like to have “general categories” on the homepage that are the following: doodles, contact, about me, and maybe a couple other categories. I’d like to then break down doodles into categories like cardiology, neurology, etc. And then be able to moving forward upload each medical doodle into its respective category. Is there any particular layout or format you would suggest I do this by?
Secondly, do you suggest that I just make one “blog post” which I edit by adding more doodles to as time goes by? For instance, should I just do one “cardiology” blog post and add to it, or should I be initiating a new blog post for each doodle I add, and then put it in some category? Thanks!

Hi –
I just took a look at the cardiology doodles. They all appear as expected for the theme that you’re using. I don’t see anything that looks too small.
Are you able to take a screen shot of what you’re seeing? That would be very helpful. Add it to the site’s media library where I can then review it and compare to my own screen.

Hello again Katie!
I see you switched themes from Stow to Maywood, and added categories. I don’t see the tiny image problem from yesterday. Although the doodles menu was mostly broken when I went through it, the one image I could view was large!

I suggest one image/post or maybe a group of closely related images/post. If you want to offer a zooming kind of capability for the image(s) in the post, add your images to a gallery block or tiled gallery block.
Also if you use categories and tags, this opens up the opportunity to use a tag cloud widget as another way for readers to explore and find images.
Finally, on this topic of formatting, if you are open to trying some other themes, you may want to look at Sketch or Photos or similar. These themes require a little more reading and setup work, but they are designed for image-heavy sites.
