How can I get my main page "nordicsummit.wordpress.com" to reflect the rest?

  A few months back I tried started up this blog but decided today that I wanted to take it in a differen’t direction and use it for my photography instead of my collage art. I totally deleted all the old pages and post and information and began working on the new blog. However for some unknown reason everytime I try to go to the blog site by typing in the URL it goes to the first page of the old blog, a page which shouldn’t even exist because it’s been deleted. This is ruining my blog. I want it to to be so that when you type in the URL it takes you to the home page I currently have, I’ve done everything the way it describes in the FAQ and help info, several times over, and nothing has changed. Whats going on?

  You have set your site to use a static front page, but you have not selected a page.

  You can do this at Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard.

  Thanks macmanx I appreciate the reply. However, I realized two things shortly after posting the question. 1) For some reason the dashboard shows me different things than are actually present. I used another computer to go to my site without being signed in and everything worked properly when it came to directing the page (I had already set a static front page) but anytime I use the dashboard and I’m signed in it shows me differen’t pages that don’t exist anymore. 2) I seem to be incapable of adding anything to the “home” page that was already present in the blog skin/design/template. There is a home tab showing on the site but it links to nothing however there is no home present in the page listings in the dashboard. Is it common to have problems with the dashboard like this?

  The homepage that you have set now is not an actual page. It’s just a “virtual” page used to display all of your blog posts, so you won’t be able to edit the page itself.
