How can I get my posts re-directed ?

  I have just purchased a site re-direct but links to my posts are not re-directing. For example if a subscriber clicks on a link to post from their emails it says ‘page not found’.

  Please help because this sort of defeats the purpose of the re-direct.

  Hi Anuradha –

  The Site Redirect only works for individual posts if the post URL is the same permalink structure as it was here on WordPress.com. To fix this, go to Settings->Permalinks in your new site’s admin area, and choose “Day and name.”

  Yes that seems to have fixed it. But the pages take much longer to load . Is that normal for re-direction?

  Hi Anuradha – The pages on your actual site? Or it just takes awhile to redirect if you click on an old link? If it’s the latter, that’s probably normal. If it’s your site itself that’s slow, please check with DreamHost. :)
