How can I get my site description to appear in Google search results
-
Current Google results show: A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt – learn more.
But I can not see how to add a site description without moving over to WordPress.org.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Check that your Privacy Settings are set to Allow search engines to index this site. This will allow Google to see your site’s content and stop seeing the robots.txt message.
Also, note that it may take some time for Google to update its search results.

Thanks for getting back to me – my privacy settings are set correctly (and have been for 2 months +)

Hello Lani!
I see that your privacy settings are correct, and it looks like you’ve also connected Google Webmaster Tools to your site – great!
You might want to look through these instructions from Google:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6066468?hl=en
They include a “submit to index” function which might be just what you’re looking for.
I hope that helps!
