How can I get my video clip to appear on my home page in Oxygen Theme?

  My blog is in Oxygen Theme. I’ve included a Youtube video link in tonight’s post, however there’s no still photo representation of it on my homepage, just a glaring blank white space above the text. How can I get some sort of photo representation of the video to appear on my homepage? My “Mums The Word” blog is andieduncan.wordpress.com.

  Hi again … just wanting a quick “how to” on getting something other than a blank space on my homepage from a video link in my post.

  Hello?! I’m totally dry-docked until I fix my home page. Can anyone let me know they’re at least looking into the problem? I know you’re mondo busy … but I’m not because of this, and it’s KILLING ME!!!

  Hi Andie – You’ll need to set a featured image for each of your posts to have that image show above the post on your home page. It’s not possible to put a video clip there. I see you’ve figured this out and have added a still image from the video for that post’s featured image. Perfect! :)

  Ok, thanks. Is that just a feature (or drawback) of Oxygen theme, or is that across the board with all themes?

  Hi Andie – there is at least one theme that will show video in the slider (Sundance), but unless it’s a special feature of the theme, they only pull images.
