How can I get permalinks set so readers only see my "framed-in" WP Blog.
-
Hi,
I have my WP blog framed inside my websites at http://travelbasil.com with a subdirectory of http://travelbasil.com/blog. However my permalinks are always sending readers to the http://travelbasil.com/blog, which is the WP blog as viewed NOT framed inside my site. I need my permalinks sending my readers to travelbasil.com so they read the blog as it appears framed inside my website only. Please advise as to how we correct our setup so all permalinks direct readers to my http://travelbasil.com website so the readers only see my blog framed inside my website. Thank you -
Hi Michael,
Since your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, can you ask your question over at http://wordpress.org/support/ We’re only able to support WordPress.com sites here.
More about the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com can be seen at WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
To briefly answer your question, though, you can’t do that via WordPress with the way your site is built. With the frame, there is not a way to load the frame and explicitly detail what site should load within the frame without some custom coding to setup a system that does that.
Ideally, with WordPress, the section of the site outside of the frame would all be a part of your site’s theme within WordPress. With the theme setup, all of the pages of your site would always display the side matter without a need for frames.
Further help is outside of what we’re able to provide, so the forums at http://wordpress.org/support/ may be able to give you further direction.
Cheers!
