How can I get rid of the outline around images?
-
When adding an image to my blog posts, an outline (border or background?) appears. For an example, see the image that contains Roger Linn’s signature in the following post:
https://culturedear.wordpress.com/2015/06/11/why-y/I’ve looked in the forums and it seems that I’d need to purchase a premium package to have the capability of removing the outline. Is that the only way?
Please advise,

Thanks. I tried that but it still has something around it. Here’s the code:
<img class=”none alignnone wp-image-170″ style=”border: none;” src=”https://culturedear.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/rogers-signature.png?w=150″ alt=”Roger’s signature” width=”200″ height=”79″ />
Please advise.

When HTML 4.0 was introduced some attributes became deprecated and I believe image borders may have been among them, so I tagged this thread for a Staff response. That isn’t actually a traditional border. In the Twenty Twelve theme, it’s a border radius and a box shadow.
Try
style="border-radius:0;box-shadow:none;"in your image tag. -

Well, well there’s another example of my missing word problem caused by distraction and/or boredom. I’m going to view that shortcoming as another reason for me to kick my answer support questions addiction, fully retire, and leave this site very soon.

Thanks timethief and macmanx
@timethief: Please don’t retire fully. Your help is invaluable!

Thanks so much for the kind words but it really is time for me to say good bye. I’ve been online for 10 years now. I have given up far too much for the love of blogging, I have health issues, and now I’m using my voice again (singing in choirs) I don’t have time to blog. Best wishes to you.
