How can I get rid of the primary domain in the url loading bar?

    I mapped my WordPress hosted blog to a subdomain I own but the primary url still shows in the loading bar. I want the blog to be hosted at WordPress but linked from my website. Do I need to start a new blog with the subdomain name and transfer the old one to that?

    Got. For some reason, switching to the owned subdomain in the WordPress “Domains” menu on my blog did not work right away. It did kick in, though.
