How can I get rid of those rectangular boxes at the bottom of my post?

  • Unknown's avatar

I decided to bring my Blogger posts here to WordPress and judging from the advice here in the Help forums, I think I’d better just do it manually, although I have not tried the importing features.

    My question is:

Why are there those four tall rectangular boxes at the bottom of my first post? At first I blamed it on the picture that I added, so I deleted the picture, but the rectangular boxes remained.

How can I get rid of those rectangular boxes at the bottom of my post? :-)

    Thank you…

It’s 4 jpg images – actually the same image 4 times.

Open the post for edit and go into the HTML tab and remove the code for those images.

This is the URL listed in your page source code:

Dear Sacred Path— In your second note to me you gave me the URL listed in my page source code, but I don’t know the significance of the information. Why did you give me that information? What should I do with it?

I was showing you the URL’s that you needed to remove. Remove these lines from the HTML tab of that post.

    <img src="///Users/lornaalexander/Desktop/Full%20Screen-12.jpg-1-1.jpg" alt="" /><img src="///Users/lornaalexander/Desktop/Profile%20pix%20for%20WP/Full%20Screen-12.jpg-1-1.jpg" alt="" /><img src="///Users/lornaalexander/Desktop/Profile%20pix%20for%20WP/Full%20Screen-12.jpg-1-1.jpg" alt="" /><img src="///Users/lornaalexander/Desktop/Profile%20pix%20for%20WP/Full%20Screen-12.jpg-1-1.jpg" alt="" />

I did what you said (deleted those html codes from the post) but the rectangular squares persist. I went over and did what you said several times over and still.. the rectangular boxes. Here is what the html code looks like in my blog. I am at my wit’s end. I suppose I could just re-do the page, but then if the rectangular boxes come up again I still wouldn’t know how to delete them.

Delete the last line that is showing above. Then after saving, but before leaving the edit page, check the stuff in the HTML tag again to make sure nothing has been mysteriously added back in. If it has not, then view your blog and make sure and refresh the page.
