How can I get text to stay at the end?
-
My blog is for my rabbits, each entry if for a litter, I’m adding pictures & text as thing happen.
I’ve finally figured out how to get the pictures to line up next to each other instead of stringing them down the page, now I need to know how to get the text to stay after the pictures that I want it after, instead of jumping up the page.
In this post, http://cafinny.wordpress.com/2010/07/24/722-sri-lanka-had-8-of-fr-clydes-kits/
I want the info for 11/11 after the last pictures, not up next to the pictures from October. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to set your image alignment to either “none” or “center,” both of which do not have text wrap.
Right and left alignment of images have text wrap.
-
-
But if I want to have the pictures lined up next to each other, I need to have them both “right” or “Left”. Then I end up with a column of words down the side, until I use a word too big to fit.
-
No, if you select “none” they will be left aligned and beside each other. If you “center” align them they should both be aligned at the center side by side.

Sorry, it doesn’t work. I tried it with last 2 pictures in http://cafinny.wordpress.com/2010/07/28/726-countess-fb3-had-6-of-heavenly-fsb6s-kits/
If I had them as “none” they stacked up on the left, if I had them as “center”, they stacked up in the center. But they wouldn’t go side to side.
& now that I look at the post, the picture of the bucks is next to the earlier picture. :-(

Also, not being able to see what I’m doing without Previewing & loading a page is a pain.
-
This is not working! I want these last 2 pictures next to each other. Now there is only 1 picture with 2 captions! Again. this is what was happening with IE, now it’s starting w/Firefox.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM????

working on a new one: http://cafinny.wordpress.com/2010/07/24/722-sri-lanka-had-8-of-fr-clydes-kits/
When I open the “Preview Changes”, there are no changes. The picture isn’t included, & the text that I added isn’t there.

Well, that used to work just fine for me, but every time I try it, as you found out, it forces the second image below the first.
The editor right now has so many bugs in it and apparently this is yet another one. Sadly the bugs aren’t in wordpress’s control as the fixes have to be made by the people who created the editor, TinyMCE/moxiecode.
The only way to keep this from happening is to not use captions, but then this brings up another issue, although there is a solution.
1. don’t use captions
2. insert the first image left-aligned
3. insert the second image with alignment “none” -

On the support page for Image Alignment, http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-alignment/
it says that you have to either right or left align the pics to make them go side by side. -
I’ll try your suggestion next time I have to insert pics, but can I use my pics from webshots instead of uploading them twice?
-
-
You could try adding style=”clear:both;” to the div tag containing the text in the HTML view which will force the text to display below the images. It should end up looking something like the code below:
<div style="clear:both;"> <p>HERE IS THE TEXT</p> </div> -
-
Ok, I think I got this figured out again. I hve to reduce the size of the pics in order for them to fit side by side.
Thanks, hallluke, for the suggestion of the “Clear:both;” It Helps!
Is there a place where instructions like this are kept for reference, or do I need to keep a file one my desktop?
