How can I get the backgroundcolor back at the WHOLE Page (not only left/right)?
-
My Backgroundcolor is no loner active in the middle/main parts of the page. A few days ago everything was fine: I choosed a backgroundcolor or picture and the whole page gets that backgroundcolor. Now, the backgroundcolor ist active at the left and right side but not in the center of each page. The same problem with a background picture.
It could be possible, that the problem starts with activating the custom design upgrade – but I also tried all options in that part – no success.
It looks like that the background at the middle parts of all pages is set to white color….

Hi there, it looks like you’ve switched themes a few times recently, which may have changed how the background is being applied to your site.
Right now you’re using Structure, and I see a grey background, with white in the main content area. Just let me know if you plan to keep using Structure, and what colour you’re aiming to have in the background and main content area, and we can try to help you out. Thanks!

Hi kathrynwp,
thanks for your fast reply. It’s true – I changed the themes one time – but it was just because I tried to remove this problem.
OK- now:
I removed the backgroundcolor at all (=white) and I set a floral background called “floraler-hintergrund3”. I want this picture as a center picture in the middle of all pages. Can you help me? Is it possible for me in future to change the background picture/color like before?
Thanks for your help!!

Hi kathrynwp,
additional information: what I mean with “that it works like before” is also, that if I choose a backgroundcolor/picture the whole page (left/right borders AND the middle part) gets that picture / color.
Thanks again!

To remove the white background and let your image show through, try adding this code under Appearance > Custom Design. Click the CSS tab and add this completely below the existing green comments:
#wrap { border: none !important; background-color: transparent !important; }Click Save when you’re done.
If you need further CSS help, please feel free to post in our CSS Customization forum.

Dear kathrynwp,
since a few hours it seems that the CCS script is not working. The Backgroud is white again and my background picture is not visible.
I added the backgroud picture again and checked the CSS in custom design. In my preview window everything is fine, the background is visible. But in different browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox) the background is not visible.
Yesterday everything worked well – it seems that the problem started today….
Can you help me?

Hi there, I’m still seeing your background image in both Firefox and Chrome, as you can see here:
http://cl.ly/image/2V14220d1G3KI also checked on a PC in IE9 and the background image shows there as well.
Can you think of anything that may have changed on your end that might affect all three browsers? Have you installed any new security or other software? Is there another computer you could check?

Hi,
that’s stange. I can see the background image again – a few hours ago it was not available….
So everything is fine – thanks for your help. Perhaps it was a server problem or a mistake in the execution of css… I don’t know…
