How can I get the HTML widget to work?

  When I type HTML into the HTML widget, it disappears when I hit “save”.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Kristine – likely the HTML you are entering includes some code not permitted here at WordPress.com:

  What specifically are you trying to enter? I’m happy to take a look and see if there’s a workaround that would work just as well with plain HTML.

  Hi, Eurello! I’m trying to paste in code to link to an Amazon store. I assume the issue is that their widgets use Javascript?

  Hi Kristine – yep, that’d be it. You can add a plain HTML link such as:

  <a href="http://amazon.com">Buy my book here.</a>

  You can also upload an image and use an Image Widget to jazz it up a bit. Hope that helps!
