How can I have a post appear on only one page?

I want to have mostly static pages on this blog & would like to have any posts I make appear on only one page. Instead, when I create a post, it appears on all the pages, which looks like I am an idiot. How can posts be restricted to one page? I tried making the post stick to the first page, but it appears on all of them. I would also really like to not have “recent posts” appear at the bottom of all of the pages, but this may not be possible. Thanks!

It sounds like you would like to have a “front page” and a separate “posts page” on your blog. You can do this by following the directions available here:

Thanks, evarlese, but this did not solve the problem. Please look at my blog to see what you can suggest. I made a test post & it appeared on all pages. I am using a category “Home” to have a menu option to go back to the first static page. I have one other category but plan to add more. The only change I made was to add a page called “Posts” & publish it. Nothing else needed to be changed. I really like “Twenty Eleven” because of the options for a menu. I added you as a user so you could see if you could come up with anything. Thanks for your assistance.

That looks about right, except you’ve chosen to use the Showcase template on your “Slava Isusu Christu! Slava Naviki!” page.
Just edit that page and choose the Default template, and you won’t see any posts on it.

Thanks! That solved it. I set up a page for posts and will keep all the others set to default.
