How can I have a post have a past date?

  I want to post about something that happened in the past and have the post reflect that date

  You can backdate a post in the Publish Module of the Post Editor.

  When you go to Write or Edit a post, it’s on the right-hand side. There’s a little pic of a calendar.

  I thought that the calendar was for a timed post, as in a future post

  And can also be backdated for a post to appear in the past. :)
