How can I have a website back ?

Hello, I’m a member of an association, and we have a situation with the responsable of communication. He leave without giving access to the website, and he refuse to give us back the access. And our president wish to get back the website, the only thing we have it’s the email of the administrator, we don’t have transaction ID, activation link or authentification codes. He was the only one who was administrator in the wordpress.
How can we have acces to the website back ? And if it’s not possible can we pay for rediction to the website we had to a new website ?

Hi @matthieupressbook, I’m sorry, that sounds like a sticky situation. There is no way to gain access to a site that do not own, administer, or pay for. You wouldn’t be able to buy upgrades for it either, unfortunately. Otherwise folks who didn’t like a business could simply ask us to give them access / create a redirect and that would get messy. If you aren’t able to work things out with the previous owner, I’d recommend starting a new site.

The president of the association try to speack with the volounter who did the wordpress but he doesn’t want to give us back, we gonna looking for maybe a validator link or a key, but thank’s you for your help.
If the president send a mail with the email in the website it’s doesn’t change anything ?
