How can I have a WP site and not allow people to sign up.
-
I need to have a site where no one can sign up. I am already getting people signing up and trying make comments.
I get emails saying,
– – Please moderate: “Finally. We are back.” – –
I don’t want to moderate anything. I have another site where people will be wanted for comments and feedback.
This site is NOT one of those. But I am not sure how to turn something off. To not allow anyone to sign up or even try
to comment or leave feedback.Anyway…. any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

At Settings -> Discussion in your blog’s Dashboard, uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles” and “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)”
This setting only applies to new posts and pages, so you’ll have to edit each already published post and page and uncheck similar options.

Allow people to post comments on new articles
(These settings may be overridden for individual articles.)yes, i see it… but it was already unchecked by me a month ago and yet i still get emails saying, “please moderate ………”

They are still checked on your WordPress.com blog.
If this is in regards to a self-hosted WordPress(.org) blog, you’ll need to request support at http://wordpress.org/support/
-
what do you mean
“They are still checked on your WordPress.com blog.”
i’m in the back end and it’s all unchecked.
yes, it is a self hosted word press.
are you telling me that there is no forum for a self hosted word press? -
The support forum for self-hosted WordPress(.org) blogs is http://wordpress.org/support/
To be clear, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two separate entities:
