How can I have been locked out of my website login?

  Hi, I just tried to post a new blog on my website and I got this message when I tried to login;
  ‘You have been locked out due to too many login attempts.’
  How can that happen if the last time I logged in was 7 days ago?
  Can you please help me resolve this issue ASAP.
