How can I hide title of homepage?
-
Hello,
I’m using Penscratch theme. My homepage is a static page, and I would like to hide the title of it on the actual page but keep it displayed in the menu bar at the top.
The menu bar at the top is not a custom menu. With Penscratch, links to pages show up automatically.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You may remove the title from the title field of the page by simply deleting it and updating the page. However, this will cause your custom menu link to change to a number with a hash tag in front of it. To fix that, just change the corresponding navigation label in the menu structure area from the hash tag/number combination to “home.”

Well I deleted it and updated the page, but the custom menu link didn’t change to a number haha! The title is gone now though and everything looks okay, so thanks for your help :)

Glad you resolved the issue. My first post shows that I failed to read your statement in the original post regarding the menu not being a custom menu. It is because your homepage is a static page, and you are using the default menu, that the page title isn’t replaced by a number in the menu.
Using the default menu with the posts page displayed on the front page would expose the numbered link to the untitled page, and using a custom menu regardless of what the front page setting is would expose it, though the navigation label could then be edited.
