How can I hyperlink an image so ppl can follow my blog?
-
I am adding images (buttons) to my blog so ppl can follow me on various social networks. I want to use an image (button) for people to click on so they can follow my blog. What website do I need to direct them to? Here is the html code I am using for my instagram one, I am just curious the beginning part for following my blog:
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can capture images of the social network icons, link each icon image to your appropriate social network profile page, and then display those in a text widget in your sidebar.

Sorry I think you might have read my post wrong. I already have images linked to social media things, but I was curious about having an image linked to my RSS feed…aka so that ppl can click on that image and sign up to receive updates from me. Does that make more sense?

But if someone clicks on that button it will just direct them from my blog to my blog. Much like the “Follow my blog” widget that is offered, they have a button that is created that says “Follow.” And you click on that and it will let you fill out a thing so that a reader can get emails every time I post a new blog. The catch is…I want to be able to use my own custom button to do this.

No I don’t, unfortunately. I might upgrade to it later, but right now, I’m using the free version. Is the only way to hyperlink an RSS feed to use CSS to code it?
-
Not at all. Your feed is http://mylifesroadtrip.wordpress.com/feed and you can just link that to an image in a text widget, but to actually make it an email subscription button, yes, you would need the CSS upgrade, because you need to edit that widget, which is not something you can do without it.

Okay. Well that’s great…question though, is there a reason why it just lists a WHOLE bunch of code when I go to http://mylifesroadtrip.wordpress.com/feed
-
Yes: because you’re using Chrome, a browser that cannot read RSS feeds. If you read your feed in an RSS reader, it comes out fine.

Really?! Huh…never knew that. Well thank you for all the help and knowledge @raincoaster! You were great!!
