How can I Import User/Author Info from a Previous WordPress Blog

  I was previously using a WordPress blog on my own site and transferred it to WordPress.com. I imported the XML file of the old blog but now every post by another user has been attributed to me. How can I import the user names and information? I have a backup of the entire blog on my hard drive if I need it. Please help!

  They would have to have accounts here at WordPress.com; then you Invite them as authors on your site, then you can edit those posts to attribute them properly.

  Thank you for your response, raincoaster. There are over 600 posts by over 100 users. I can definitely take the time to import them one by one, but was hoping there would be some way to import them all at once since I have a complete backup on my computer.

  Nope. I run a website that has multiple contributors and if they don’t have a WP.com ID, then I put a byline in their article, but that’s about all you can do.
