how can I increase the font size

Is there a simple way to bump up the font size without having to get into HTML or coding of any sort?

You can choose a theme that uses comparatively bigger fonts.

Or else, HTML is your only solution.

Or instruct your readers how to make fonts larger in their browsers:
“Hold down the CTRL key, then press + to increase the font size, or press – to decrease the font size.”

(Mac users: command + or -)

There is though a bug related to the use of CTRL + key and the google chrome browser (does not appear with the use of Mozilla or explorer). If you increase the size by more than two strokes of the key then the audio or video plugins do not operate! The visitor of the blog is not able to listen or watch a you tube video for example that behaves as a picture! The operation is coming back if you minimize again the size! (CTRL -)

I don’t use chrome, but this is from google’s help pages:

    (Windows): Ctrl++ or Ctrl–

Use zoom options to make everything on a webpage larger or smaller. Follow these steps:

    Click the Page menu.
    Select Zoom.
Select Larger or Smaller as necessary. To see the webpage in its original layout, select Normal.
If you find yourself squinting all the time, try changing the default font size for all webpages.

I am visually challenged and use keyboard shortcuts to view webpages. See > How to Change Font (Text) Size in Your Browser

I do use Chrome, and I can’t confirm what pythari says: audio and video works fine no matter how much I zoom in – at least on my Mac.

Apparently for windows it is Ctrl++
They don’t mention macs, so I’d assume (assume!) command +

Seems like there have been several discussions about increasing font sizes in these forums. Though they did involve CSS or coding, which the OP specifies he does not want…

I discovered this way by accident !! Here’s how to do it
    1)Open a new WORD document
    2) CTRL A + CTRL C your wordpress post contents and CTRL V paste them into WORD

Then CTRL A the WORD doc and change the font size. (Verdana 10 seems best but experiment)

THEN… CTRL A CTRL C the Word Doc and Paste THAT (CTRL V) back into the WP post. Magically the font is the right size (or repeat until it is)

How / Why that works I know not. But it did for me !

@emmo2010: not a good idea – guaranteed to mess your blog up sooner or later.
