How can I install a wordpress theme coming from a third party?

  I would like to use a template / theme designed by a third party.
  However when clicking on ‘theme’ I cant see any option for that. I only can choose the themes provided by wordpress. There is no install or upload section… so far!

  Pleas help me in this matter! :)

  You can’t install third party themes on WordPress.COM sites, security & reliability issues, also themes are highly modified to run here

  You will need to choose from the something over 200 themes here

  Hi,

  WordPress.com doesn’t allow the use of custom 3rd-party themes. If you cannot find a theme that suits you within the WordPress.com ecosystem, you would need to sign up with another hosting provider and install WordPress there to use 3rd party extensions (such as themes and plugins).

  Before moving your blog, try posting here with what you’re looking for and see if maybe someone can give advice on what theme in WordPress.com may do what you want it to: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/themes.

  You are confusing WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG.
  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  The only themes we can use on WordPress.COM hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
  https://wordpress.com/themes/

  You can also use the WordPress.COM feature filter found here https://theme.wordpress.com/

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
  upload any third party themes,
  create child themes,
  create our own themes,
  edit templates,
  create own own layouts,
  or use stylesheets from other themes.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  If you prefer you can to hire a web host http://wordpress.org and set up your own wordpress.ORG install. In that case and if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
