How can I install Google analytics on my blog?

I would like to track more info about the people who visit my blog, and therefore, I wish to install the google analytics plug in. However, it seems that it is not possible at the moment. Can you help me find a solution. Is there a way, I could install this plug in? Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

We cannot use Google Analytics with WordPress.com blogs. You can, however, verify your site with Google’s Webmaster Tools which will give you some additional data regarding your site’s usage: http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
