How can I keep from logging out while writing an article?

About once a month WordPress logs me out while I am in the middle of writing an article. When I press “save” or “preview” the login page pops up and I loose everything that I’ve typed since the last save. Is there any way you can set up the Dashboard so I will not log out while in the middle of writing an article? (Maybe an auto-update of the cookie when you are viewing the Dashboard)

  • Hi there, it sounds like your browser cookies may be corrupted, since you shouldn’t be logged out while in the middle of posting – that’s definitely frustrating!

Have you tried clearing all cookies for the domains wordpress.com and allseasonscyclist.com? Here are some instructions for deleting cookies in Firefox. While you’re there, you can confirm that you’ve got these items checked/selected:

    – Accept cookies from sites
    – Accept cookies third-party cookies
    – Keep until they expire

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for responding. I already had the correct settings for the cookies in Firefox, so I cleared out the old cookies just in case they were corrupted. I will have to wait and see if I get logged out while writing an article again. Thanks!

  • Great – let me know how it goes!
