how can i know which blog directory is safe?

  http://dubesor.wordpress.com/2007/06/06/where-to-submit-your-blog-or-rss-feed-for-free-seo-promotion/ lists several services where i can submit my blog for promotion.

  my question is, an infinite number of blog directories spring up when you do a google search . I read somewhere that some “submit-your-url-here” are awful, because they supply the blog url’s to spammers.

  how on earth can i know for sure which blog directory is scam? and which is safe?

  do search for name of site and see what otherfolks say about it.
