How can I let Akismet know that a frequent commenter is not spam?

I have one frequent commenter who is always caught in the akismet spam guard the last couple of weeks. She does not put links in her comments and her name and url are like any other blog name and url. I always go in and mark “approve” on her comments but akismet doesn’t get the hint. How can I let akismet know that she is a safe commenter? Thanks!

It’s the commenter’s responsibility. And you’re doing the best you can. There IS a bug, so it might be that. Check this thread:

It is her responsibility meaning she should contact Akismet and ask to be put on a safe list or something? Do you think the bug will be corrected any time soon? Thanks.
