If you want to embed the document itself into a post, then you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs.

If you want to enable readers to upload pdfs, you’re talking about a WordPress.org site on paid hosting and an awful lot of money or time spent on security. Say, $10,000 a year minimum. Otherwise you’re just exposing your site and every visitor to whatever virus/trojan any spammer wants to embed in a PDF (which is eminently possible).

Ah, my mistake. I thought you said UPLOAD. You can upload PDFs according to the instructions TT gave you. Then anyone can download them.

Indeed. And I’m three stories behind deadline AND I found out my encryption software inserts DIV tags everywhere, making interviewing a cleanup chore worthy of a HAZMAT suit.

I believe I followed the instructions. I uploaded the pdf into the media library and I post the link into the blog. But when I preview the post and click on the link for the pdf it doesn’t appear to download.
Can I not test the load in preview mode?

Yes, it works. And I’m afraid you can’t remove the links. You can delete that file, though, rename it, and re-upload it and put it in your post.
