How can I link a Portfolio project thumbnail to directly open an external site?

    Hi everyone, on my blog I have a portfolio-type page (INSPIRATION) filled with images of books. Currently when clicked they go to the page of the project. Instead, I would like for only the amazon link of the book to appear in a new tab, whilst the page remains the same on the wordpress blog.

    If that is not possible, I would be satisfied by making the thumbnails do nothing when clicked, just having them dynamically appear as project cover images.
