how can i link my media galleries between my different websites?

  I have added another new website, but can’t seem to access images and my gallery from my other websites – instead I’m uploading again some of the same photos – is there any way to link my media gallery between my websites? thanks much – Rafe

  Hi Rafe, Unfortunately, each of your sites is self-contained and image galleries cannot be shared between them. You will have to upload the media separately. Sorry about that!

  Thank you! It would be great to add that kind of functionality – and it would probably save a ton of space.

  Hi again! I had a crazy thought, if you wanted to give it a try :) You could attach all the images you want from one site to a new draft page. Then, you could run an export of that page. Do this by clicking Tools → Export. Then export Pages, with a one day date range, specifying you only want pages that are in draft status.

  Finally, you’ll go to the target site and import from Tools → Import. Click on “Import posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags from a WordPress export file.”

  If all those images are attached properly to a page, you can avoid manually uploading them one by one. Plus the page will be a draft, so it won’t publish on either site.

  Worth a try, if you have the time. Let me know how it goes.
