how can i load a text document onto my website?

  I can only load a link to a document, I can’t put the document on the page

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  This support doc shows a few options for uploading a document: https://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/. This will end up giving you a download link on your post or page which based on your statement, is not what you want.

  If you want to embed the actual document, and not just a download link, you can use Scribd. I don’t know much about Scribd so here is a support doc that walks you through the process: https://en.support.wordpress.com/scribd/
