How can I make category pages?
-
I can’t seem to turn my custom menu into category pages at the top of my blog. I’m able to make new pages, but can’t seem to get this to work.
I’d like something similar to my friend’s blog layout: http://www.jennaseverythingblog.com/
My blog is http://carmeninchicagoland.wordpress.com/.
Help, please?

You don’t create category pages. They create themselves when you use the categories, eg http://raincoaster.com/category/cthulhu

Hi raincoaster,
I actually figured out how to make this work after playing around with custom menus. I’m wondering if there’s any way I can get the category pages/tabs up top to have drop-down menus.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You need to make the pages you want to be dropped-down into CHILDREN of the top-level menu. When you go into Quick Edit mode for any page, notice that there is a parent, probably set to Main (no parent). Setting that to something else will make it a child of the chosen page. For example, see one of my blogs at http://wyomingcec.org, and notice the Photos menu at the top, with drop-down years. Those year pages are children of the Photos page.
