How can I make money blogging

I’d like to earn some money blogging and haven’t figured out a way to do that. I was thinking of trying Google AdSense but I can’t figure it out. It says I need to update my CNAME rand and I have no clue how to do that. If anyone can help me figure out AdSense or knows of any other way i can make money off my blog please let me know. Thanks in advance!

It truely would be awesome to be able to gain some extra cash from a blog. I’d never thought about adds? Would they be annoying pop up ones, as I don’t think I’d like that annoying anybody who want’s to check your page out.

Adsense and ads in general aren’t allowed and won’t work on WordPress.com blogs.
There are some good ways to make money from your WordPress.com blog, but advertising isn’t one of them. (Few blogs make any significant profit from ads anyway). Some examples:
* Write a book, and publish portions of it on your blog (with your publisher’s permission)
* Sell stuff you made yourself on Etsy, Redbubble or a similar site
* Write original and substantial book reviews and include Amazon affiliate linksThings not to do on WordPress.com:
* Copy other people’s stuff and use it to post affiliate links
* Ads, banner ads, get rich quick links, $$$ style affiliate links
* Casino, porn, traffic booster, pay-per-x sponsored/affiliate links
* Junk that has no purpose other than to try to get people to click on affiliate linksIf you have a very popular blog (visitors in 6 figures/month), contact support staff and ask them about VIP hosting options.

You can also offer professional services (along the lines of offering “stuff you made yourself”) and allow people to contact you, but the blog itself has to be a standalone real blog, not “hey, come pay me to do stuff”. This is how I make about half my living, but not at the blog linked to my name; that’s just for fun
