how can I make my name appear as 2 words (carol cetrone) ?

when I view my page, my first and last names appears as one word. how can I add a space to my name without changing my URL ?

You can do that by editing your Site Title in the Settings section of your blog’s Dashboard.

I am also having another couple of problems… when I chose this theme (duster) it had
a photo with a thick black space under it which contained the tabs “home” and “other”.
(I think). Now the black area has disappeared. How do I get it back and how do I change and add more “tabs” in that area ??thanks for any help..

You can add to that with your own menu at Appearance -> Menus in your blog’s Dashboard.

It doesn’t look like you have added anything to your menu, just created three empty menus.
Check the video tutorial at http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ it covers how to add items to the menu.
