How can I make my social media icons visible?
-
Hi Admin,
I’m trying to get the social media icons on my blog to be visible. When I click on the links, they work, but I don’t know how to play around with the height and width settings to make them visible.Could you give me some generic settings? Or tell me what I can delete in the html? I just copied the html from the help. Thank you.
This is what the html looks like:
<div><img title=”facebook” alt=”facebook” width=”50″ height=”50″ /><img title=”twitter” src=”leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/twitter.png” alt=”twitter” width=”35″ height=”35″ /> <img title=”google plus” src=”leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/google plus.png” alt=”google plus” width=”35″ height=”35″ /> </div>
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi leichandratruong,
You’ll need to add http:// just before the names of your images. Right now, the browser is appending your blog address to your images, which is causing them to break.
This means that your Twitter icon should be:
<img title="twitter" src="<b>http://</b>leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/twitter.png" alt="twitter" width="35" height="35" />I’ve also noticed that your Google Plus icon doesn’t work. You may wish to verify that its name is correct.
Please do post back if this still doesn’t fix your problem.

Whoops, here’s the correct code block:
<img title="twitter" src="http://leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/twitter.png" alt="twitter" width="35" height="35" /> -
Hi Valentine,
Thanks for the tips. I fixed what you recommended and they work. Now want to change the icons to they match (size & style) so I uploaded some new images into my library, but only the facebook icon showed up.Do I have to upload the images again or chage the coding? Here’s what I have now below. Thanks very much.
<div><img title=”facebook” src=”http://leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/facebook.png” alt=”facebook” width=”35″ height=”35″ /><img title=”twitter” src=”http://leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/twitter.png” alt=”twitter” width=”35″ height=”35″ /> <img title=”google” src=”http://leichandratruong.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/google.png” alt=”googleplus” width=”35″ height=”35″ /> </div>

Thanks Timethief. Yes, I used that before, but now I want to change the icons to different icons that were uploaded to my library, but the old icons keep showing up when I enter that code. What should I do? something with the code or change the icons? Thanks.
