How can I make new edits to an old post appear in the linked Facebook page?

  I edited an old post (from 2009) and want to know how to make those edits also show up automatically on my facebook page – which is linked to my blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can’t. The edits don’t show up in shares that have already happened.

  You can make a new entry on facebook “by hand” about the edit, but you cannot change the old thingy on fb at all, except to delete it. Well, maybe you can add a comment after the old entry on fb that it has been updated, again, “by hand.”

  Facebook confuses me: makes no sense that one cannot update outdated information. But then, I’m a blogger and enjoy being able to update and (god forbid) revise. (not the links, but just edit old posts to let folks know that the inevitable has happened: Nothing endures but change…) Maybe what confuses me about fb is that no one looks back…
