How can I make only select blog posts appear on certain pages?
-
Hello everyone!
I just got started blogging recently, and I just had a question–is it possible to customize pages so that it features certain blog posts you’ve written? I want the main page of my blog to just feature my miscellaneous ramblings, and these other “pages” to feature more concentrated topics, like film reviews. Is this possible? Please let me know!
Thanks in advance for your time, everyone!

That is what categories are for. You create and assign categories to your posts, and then either use the categories widget in your sidebar or create a custom menu and put the categories into that and when people click on that category, they are presented with only the posts in that particular category. Your main posts page (typically you site landing page) will always show all posts from all categories in reverse chronological order (newest at top).
Pages that you create are actually static and sit outside of the blog structure. See here for the differences between pages and posts.

@cuttingedgecreativity – some advice you did not ask for – but I looked at your blog and your posts are long and that makes them run together on the front page – consider using the More Tag to shorten what is seen on the front page – makes your blog much more appealing to visitors – especially regular visitors – don’t force them to load the whole many Posts – the More Tag also makes it easier to see what you have on the front page.
